How do I word a letter of complaint about a colleague to my boss? - work replacement letter

I am assistant manager of a magazine, but the editor is, frankly, no hope in their work. It was finished a quick replacement when former editor (just before the start), and left his team for 2 years. Never stick to the plans, ignored what was said at the meeting together, stroking each plan apartment, without a care, repair, always matters. Never put effort into new ideas, and rejects the proposals of others. If the leaders say, to ask him the computer says we are to something quite different from what you ordered them. You do not have short and concise - state the facts from hearsay. Do not try too personal or - must be as professional as possible. Backups of all questions of fact as soon as possible. Does your company have a policy that we can help? You can write a short letter with a brief description of your complaints, maybe a few bullet points to make from a few cases where he thinks he needs and what they have to get up.

I agree with the respondents who said that it is better to have a meeting request, instead of writing a letter. It is really too far gone to take up writing, if this is the first time that I raised this point. But you could try to write, if not show up the first meeting.

However, make sure you have thought about the likely consequences of this before proceeding. Only kept short and not make it personal at all. Done overview of the problems these people have and how much of their work that they are now. Tell your boss how much you love your job but do not work for someone else.
